SEO & Online Marketing
Everybody uses search engines. It is our job to make sure you rank as high as possible for the keywords you want to target.
What is SEO?
SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) now refers to a larger scope of work than you think. We like to split this into 4 sections:
-
On-Site SEO:
Think of a web site like being a house. Any old builder can build a house but is it sturdy enough? Is it adhering to all the building regulations? Has all the building work been done with passion and have the best quality materials been used for the job?
On-site SEO is therefore architecture for web sites. It’s our job to look at your site and improve its build to make it more appealing and efficient – not just for search engine spiders but also for the visitor. First we audit the site, then make improvements to increase page load time and general performance; as well as omitting unnecessary code from pages that don’t need it.
On-site SEO forms part of web design and conversion rate optimisation as well as WordPress SEO.
-
Content and Copywriting:
As the SEO meme goes – “Content is King”. Content is an important part of any web site. It informs the reader of the products and services you can offer. As well as this, your web site can become a very useful source of information within your industry. However, as with all things SEO, there is an art to writing content for the web.
We provide SEO friendly copywriting for anything from the generic pages of your site all the way to creating a content network strategy for you. We can also cater for news feed and blog intergration within an existing site.
-
Off-Site SEO:
Generally referred to as linkbuilding, this is the process of exposing your site elsewhere on the Internet. However, this isn’t as easy as you think.
Web sites have a ‘reputation’ on the Internet determined by hundreds of ranking factors. The better the reputation of a web site or page, the higher it will rank for the terms it is targeting. If a reputable site mentions you, it tells the search engine that you’re to be trusted and that the page it’s linking to is relevant by the words linking to it (unless they use therel=”nofollow” attribute, but let’s not get too technical now).
The more trust your site accumulates, the higher your the higher it will pull you up Google’s SERPs (search engine result pages) for the terms you’re targeting. However, acquiring 1,000 links from the wrong places isn’t the same as getting one link from something like a news article on the BBC web site. We use a number of methods to get you quality links from trusted sources.

Social Media:
Heard of Twitter and Facebook? Good.
There are plenty of opportunities through social media sites now. Not every single business requires a focus on Social Media Marketing, however, businesses that do need a social presence should know the benefits and dangers of what they post within these sites.
We can maintain your Facebook group/page and Twitter profile so that you can make the most of social networking opportunities.
